The Session for the 30th

The "Uninstructed Figure Drawing" session for this Wednesday, June 30, will include 2 models. One will pose in the front of the gallery and one in the back. That will give artists plenty of viewing room and I'll rotate the models between rooms, so everyone will have a chance to draw both.

The models for this session will pose clothed (the doors will not be locked) and it is open to all ages. The session will start at 7:00 p.m., so come a little earlier to give yourself time to get set up. Bring your own easel or support board and drawing materials. No wet media or aerosols, please. Hope to see you there!

Does it get much better than this? K.C. wore her toe shoes for us and the only thing missing was the tutu. Another fabulous evening at Art First Gallery, spent with a wonderful group of artists and a great model.

Another wonderful night of drawing at Art First Gallery. Thanks to Andre, our model, we had wonderful poses to work from. Another thanks goes out to those who came to draw. It is so nice to be around other artists and spend time working side-by-side doing what we all love doing. Thanks for sharing your experiences and talent with us. I apologize for not getting things posted earlier from this session, I have had a lot on my plate. Hope to see you all in future sessions. Have a blessed summer and try to stay cool.

Next week is K.C. with dance poses. We hope to see you then!

BTW, thank you, Susan, for making the setup so much faster. You are the best!

Upcoming Sessions

Models have been booked for Figure Drawing at Art First for our next several sessions. Our model for this Wednesday, June 16th, will be Andre, who will pose unclothed. K.C. will be with us again on the 23rd and we'll welcome a new model, Mary, on the 30th who will pose clothed. Come draw with us in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere!

What a great group of artists and a great way to spend an evening!

Thank you to our "regulars" and a few new artists who joined us last night and who always jump right in after the session, to help us put everything away. Thanks also, to our "always perfect" model, Linda, who is such a joy to work with.

Our model for next Wednesday, June 16, will be Andre, who will pose unclothed. Be there at 6:45 to get set up, as we lock the doors at 7:00 to protect our models. Bring your own easel or support board and drawing supplies. No wet media or aerosols, please.

Thanks to our wonderful artists and a perfect model, we had another great evening at Art First's Uninstructed Figure Drawing Session. Our model created some wonderful poses for us and was very patient, despite our changing things up on her a bit.

We hope to see you all next week, June 9. Our model will be Linda and will pose unclothed. By request, we're going to change the pose schedule for next week by warming up with some quick gestures. The first 10 minutes will consist of 30 second and 1 minute poses, then we'll do a series of 3, 5, 10, and 15 minute poses, a 15 minute break and then two 30 minute poses. As always, arrive by 6:45 as we start the session promptly at 7:00 and the doors will be locked.

Upcoming Figure Drawing

Our next Open, Uninstructed Figure Drawing Session will be on June 2 at the gallery, at 824 Caroline St.

The session starts at 7:00 pm and our model will pose unclothed. So, arrive early, we recommend 6:45 as doors will be locked during the session. No one under 18. No wet media or aerosols, please.
