We had the opportunity to draw one of our favorite models last night and welcomed some new artists for the session. It was a great evening, that always seems to go by too quickly. I'll keep everyone posted for next Wednesday's session, June 2, so check back often!

Artists, I've posted all of the images that were on the camera. If yours is missing, please send me a jpeg of your drawing. I want to make sure I include everyone who wants to show off their work from Wednesday night!

May 26th Session

We're looking forward to sharing another great night of Open, Uninstructed Figure Drawing in the gallery!

I want to remind everyone to arrive early, around 6:45, to grab a spot and get set up. We start promptly at 7:00 pm and the doors will be locked during the session. Bring your own supplies and easel or board. No wet media or aerosols in the gallery, please. No cameras or cell phone use during the session.

We welcome artists of all skill levels and development. Come draw with us in a relaxed atmosphere with great music.

$10.00 - members & students $15.00 - nonmembers. Cash or checks only, please.

Our model for this coming Wednesday, May 26th, will be Linda and she will pose unclothed. We will warm up with 5 - 3 minute poses and 5 - 5 minute poses, then a 10 & 20 minute pose We will have a 15 minute break with refreshments and the last hour will consist of one or two long poses.

Art First Gallery wants to thank all who came out this past Wednesday (May 12th). We didn't let the rain keep us away and we had a blast! Thanks, also to our model.

Art First Gallery had a nice turnout for the first Uninstructed Figure Drawing Session and we had a GREAT model. We warmed up with five 3 minute poses, five 5 minute poses, then a 10, 20 and a 60 minute pose with a break (for cookies and a chance to talk to other artists) in between. It was a great evening and we want to thank all of the artists who came out to draw with us!

Our model for next Wednesday, May 12th,, will be Andre, who will pose unclothed. There will be no Figure Drawing Session on the 19th.

Remember, arrive early because we lock the doors at 7:00. We recommend around 6:45 to give yourself plenty of time to get set up. Bring your own drawing supplies and boards or easels, no wet media, no aerosols, please. Chairs are limited ... first come, first served!
