Art First Gallery had a nice turnout for the first Uninstructed Figure Drawing Session and we had a GREAT model. We warmed up with five 3 minute poses, five 5 minute poses, then a 10, 20 and a 60 minute pose with a break (for cookies and a chance to talk to other artists) in between. It was a great evening and we want to thank all of the artists who came out to draw with us!
Our model for next Wednesday, May 12th,, will be Andre, who will pose unclothed. There will be no Figure Drawing Session on the 19th.
Remember, arrive early because we lock the doors at 7:00. We recommend around 6:45 to give yourself plenty of time to get set up. Bring your own drawing supplies and boards or easels, no wet media, no aerosols, please. Chairs are limited ... first come, first served!
$10.00 - AFG members/students
$15.00 - non-members
Please send any comments or suggestions to Susan Ishii at jsishii@mac.com
Also, we are always looking for models and welcome any gender, age (over 18 for unclothed) or body type.
Check the blog for any updates ... Make yourself a "Follower" or leave a comment about your experience at the session!
